“Why does it take so long to dry my clothes!!!?” is the question we’ve seen in social media.  Most of us are not aware of how important it is to clean our dryer vent or dryer exhaust pipe.  Moms and dads across the country spend countless hours over the weekend washing and drying laundry and unaware of their hard earned money going down the drain because their dryer exhaust pipe needs to be cleaned.  There are so many indicators you want to be listening for from family and friends.

“I bought a new dryer and I’m still having to spend hours drying my clothes!” is a typical statement we hear daily.  Before you spend hundreds or a thousand dollars on a new clothes dryer, find an organization who specializes in air duct and/or dryer vent cleaning services to inspect your exhaust pipe.  The goal is to keep the exhaust pipe free of debris allowing your dryer to function efficiently.  You may ask, “When do I know it’s time to have it inspected and/or cleaned?”  Glad you asked.  We recommend having your dryer vent or dryer exhaust pipe inspected and/or cleaned at least once a year.  Chances are, your dryer may be running hot.  As stated before, it’s taking too long to dry clothes.

Just bought a “New to You” home?  Call a duct cleaning specialist for an inspection the day you close on your house.  There’s no way of knowing what the homeowner did or didn’t do before you.  You could possibly be bringing your family into harms way without knowing it.

Oh by the way, the next time you consider running an errand, taking a nap, or retiring for the night while your clothes are drying, we strongly urge you, DON’T!  Many families come back home to fire trucks in their yard putting out the fire caused by the dryer.  Your pets will thank you. Dogs and cats typically have no way out when the fire starts.  There’s a good chance they’ve never even seen a fire and have no idea how to respond.  After all, they’re family too.

Here are a few reasons you should have your dryer vent or dryer exhaust pipe cleaned on a regular basis:

  • Save Lives
  • Save on Energy Bill
  • Save Money
  • Save Time

Renew Air would rather you save your money and take the family on a nice vacation.  Take a look at the video and consider, this could be your exhaust pipe.  It could be the reason you’re wasting your weekend drying clothes instead of having quality time with family and friends.
